Rethinking how
nutrients reach the body.
BioMed Labs develops microcrystal microneedle patch technology — a precision transdermal delivery platform designed to bypass the limitations of oral supplementation.
Precision delivery.
Without compromise.
Oral iron supplementation has a well-documented problem: GI side effects — nausea, constipation, and abdominal discomfort — cause a significant proportion of people to stop taking it before their iron levels recover.
BioMed Labs was founded to address this directly. Our microcrystal microneedle platform delivers iron transdermally — through the skin, bypassing the GI tract entirely. The result is a delivery route that avoids the mechanism responsible for oral iron's tolerability issues.
Our first product — BioMed Labs Iron — applies this platform to Ferrous Lactate, a well-characterised iron salt selected for its solubility profile and suitability for microcrystal formulation.

Iron delivered transdermally — GI tract bypassed
The principles behind the platform.
Precision over convenience
Every design decision — from particle size to needle geometry — is made to optimise delivery, not to simplify manufacturing. We do not cut corners on formulation.
Science-first development
The microcrystal platform is built on a rigorous understanding of transdermal pharmacokinetics. We test, measure, and iterate against data — not assumptions.
Meaningful innovation
We develop technology that addresses real limitations in existing delivery methods. BioMed Labs Iron exists because oral iron has a well-documented tolerability problem.
Uncompromising quality
Pharmaceutical-grade quality systems are applied to every batch — not as a marketing claim, but as the minimum standard we hold ourselves to.
Microcrystal microneedle technology — engineered for precision.
Dissolvable microneedle arrays loaded with Ferrous Lactate microcrystals. The needles penetrate the stratum corneum, dissolve in the epidermis, and release iron directly into the dermal tissue — no GI involvement required.
